Mo' Funky Weather

We've had more cloudy then sunny, then cloudy again days here, but they've all been very windy. Today was a little calmer, but Thursday and Friday were very, very gusty. Some rain fell too, but only enough to partially fill the puddles near the golf course. You can see clouds and rain over Mullet and the Lagoon, but nicer weather over Ric's.
Meanwhile, studying continues, as this last big, fat assessment test looms on Monday for me. Since we only have enough landline computers in the lab for a couple of dozen students to simultaneously take the 8 hour, 400 question exam, our class has been broken up into 5 different test taking groups. I'm glad I'm getting mine over with on Monday, though the extra study time that the Friday crowd has would be nice, too.
In addition to the TexMex platter at Ric's this afternoon, I managed to find time for the risotto with shrimp, asparagus and truffles, followed by the nougat glace with raspberry sauce at La Gondola last night. Besides the food, the other highlight was when two couples came in and they were all wearing the same Tommy Bahama print shirt. This is the kind of stuff that keeps me single.
I've always been wary of Tommy Bahama, anyhow. It's like their advertising slogan oughta be: "Tommy Bahama: Because You Let Your Wife Dress You"
